visiting Belarus

My partner and I hosted two children last year for one month through the Chernobyl Charity and have been invited over to stay with them. We are visiting at the end of September and staying for a week with them and their families. We have obtained our visas etc and booked our flights and one of the families is collecting us from the airport. I am just wondering if there is anything I need to know before going - I think we have to register with the Police or someone when we arrive, is this correct? What is the weather normally like at the start of October? Any other info would be appreciated. We are staying in the Mogilev region - Osipovichy.

Hi

yes you must register with the police i think it is within 72 hours.

are you staying in a hotel? if so i believe they do it on your behalf (but check).

if your renting an apartment then you will need to do it yourself.

you will need to find out which station you can do it at also. im sorry cant help you anymore than that.
