Advice on best solution

Hi all,

Met a lovely lady from Minsk recently on a holiday. I would like to see her again and am interested in either me travelling to Minsk or meeting Her in Prague or Warsaw or somewhere halfway for both of us.

My question is this, is there anyway I can get a Visa for Belarus that will allow me to visit a couple of times for say up to a fortnight at a time? during a year or do I need to get a new visa each trip?

Also, is it easy for citizens of Belarus to get a visa for prague / warsaw etc?

All help gratefully received

If you%26#39;re an EU or US citizen, you shouldn%26#39;t have any problems getting a visa to Belarus. Here%26#39;s the link to their embassy in UK (your tag says you%26#39;re in Scotland) - go to the visa section. You could get a personal multi-entry visa that%26#39;s valid for a year for up to 90 days of stay total. I%26#39;m not sure how much it costs in UK and the website doesn%26#39;t list the price, but in the US it%26#39;s about $350. If you do go to Belarus, I would suggest later spring to early fall - the weather is at its best then, and it%26#39;s not that bad of a place to visit.

She shouldn%26#39;t have too many problems getting a tourist visa to Poland, but other countries maybe an issue. Belarus doesn%26#39;t exactly have fantastic relations with everyone and because it%26#39;s a former USSR country, some countries are tough on giving visas to Belarussian citizens. If you want to meet outside of Eastern Europe someplace, her best bet would be to try and do a tourist visa or go someplace where you anyone can purchase a visa at the airport (e.g. Maldives).

Good luck!

Well I couldn%26#39;t agree that a Belarusian can easily get a visa to Poland or Czech Republic since it is Shengen Zone. Simply because it is a headache.

Maybe some Belarusians can afford visa on arrival in the Maldives (along with the rest of the package).

The easiest option is to get an invitation from a Minsk-based tourist firm and mail your dockets to our Embassy in London. They will be back ready in one week or so. There is also guest visa, but this one requires some other procedures.

Both can be obtained on arrival at MSQ Airport in 10 minutes.
