Train from Minsk to Vilnius

Hi,

I%26#39;ve been trying to get trains times from Minsk to Vilnius for mid October, however 4 different websites have given 4 different sets of times. Which is the best website for these train times that is known to be correct.

Also any idea of the cost of a return ticket?

There is actually the only site to watch this stuff - www.rw.by. However, it seems to be all in Russian and En section didn%26#39;t make any sense to me.

I searched Minsk-Vilnius in their search section - the trains are mainly in the morning and evening:

No 5 - 0318-0748 - daily

No 147 - 0515-1014

No 305 - 0630-1110 - daily

No 301 - 1816-2205 - daily

No 359 - 1848-2338

No 29 - 2343-0420 - daily

Average time in transit - 4,5 hours.

Cost one way coupe

(No 147) 71 000 or 105 000 BYR

(No 29) 130 000 BYR.

Divide the sum into 2100 and you%26#39;ll get the USD equivalent.

And the only reliable place to buy them - Railway Station itself and their Ticket Office in 18, Independence Ave.

And the return ticket (you are returning form Vilnius to Minsk, right) should be at the same price.

Make sure you have a double-entry visa to Belarus.

I believe they can take a 0600 train from Vilnius and arrive at 1040 to Minsk safe and sound. Many of my tourists land in Vilnius and then take a train for the sake of cost-cutting.

Security is not an issue in Minsk.
