Need information on travelling to Vitebsk from Ireland

Hi Everyone, I need advice on what is my best and fastest route to Vitebsk from Ireland. I presume to fly from Ireland to London Heathrow and then to Minsk. Can I get a flight to Vitebsk from minsk ? and are they any good places to stay there? Need your help thank ou you, TAP9331

There are no flights from Minsk to Vitebsk mostly because it%26#39;s just 350km away.

Better take a train.

There%26#39;s a daily train: 16-50 departure from Minsk, 21-15 arrival in Vitebsk just for 7-9 pounds per ticket.

If you need a different train - there are many of them, 3-4 every day at least.

Besides there are buses.

Best hotel is probably Eridan (3 stars).

35-60 pounds per suite

and Luchesa (4 stars)

guess it%26#39;s more expensive

there is a cheap one

4-12 pounds per person

Thanks for information re:-Vitebsk from Ireland. When you are quating hotel rates are u stating per night rate? and where exactly is the cheap hotel pleae and (1) contact details,(2) Can one stay there regarding the authorities,(3) Is one allowed to stay with friends are they restrictions? thanks again,Andrew

the cheap one is situated on 12,Liudnikova av.

have no idea if it%26#39;s in the city centre, but Vitebsk is not a big city

the prices are per night

well that cheap hotel is the hotel which is near a sport arena

i guess it%26#39;s for athletes mostly

looks like a %26quot;Formule 1%26quot; type

you pay per person not per suite

there are 2-3 people in one room

i%26#39;m very surprised at the price of 3-4 pounds per person per night there

maybe it%26#39;s the price for belarusians

foreigners usually pay a double(triple) price

so maybe this hotel is for belarusian athletes only

so better make inquiries csk@vitebsk.by

got nothing to say about authorities and friends though...
