Hotel or apartment in Minsk needed

Hi, we want to go to Minsk in summer and are trying to find out the place to stay. We will be 4-6 people, able to speak Russian too. We were looking here and there, and all we find is either horrible reviews of cheap hotels or either overpriced expensive ones, so can anyone recommend something good for us? We are not afraid of Sovietic feel, what us concerns more is proximity to the centre and security (and of course, some facilities, such as bathroom, wc inside). We want to have something for 3-4 nights for a price no more than 40 EUR per double room (or per 2 pers. in case of apartment). Any suggestions? Many thanks!

Try some hotel search machine in forums, including this one. You can compare the prices and chose by location on the locally owned portal www.minsk-travel.com.

Best option, naturally, is to stay at a place where your friends did.
