visa question need help

Planning on visting Minsk this summer, I will be in Dubai, and Vietnam before Minsk is it possible to get a visa in Dubai or Hanoi ? will be traveling around south east asia and will not be in one city for more than a week

Hello from Belarus,

There are diplomatic missions in both Vietnam and United Arab Emirates. However it is not clear whether you can be issued a visa not in the country of your citizenship. But we recently checked with our embassy in Lithuania and they agreed to issue an urgent visa to an Englishman.

According to last amendments, to get a tourist visa to Belarus one (from EU, Israel, Canada, America or Japan) should submit to the embassy an application with a photo, a facsimile invitation from a tour operator in Belarus. The invitation can be issued if at least two services were bought (hotel booking and a transfer, etc.).

Thanks for the reply, I have a US passport , however I have not been back in the US for two years and will not be back until next year. I will be in Hanoi for appox 4 days , would that be enough time to get one ? I could also stop in Hungary or Poland before coming to Belarus , any suggestions would be great !!
