Minsk help needed

I%26#39;ve just booked flights to Kaunas and are considering visiting Minsk whilst we are there. We need to know some info on following:-

If we are going in February can we still get a visa? how much does this cost?

Are there many nightclubs here? are they good?

Anything we should watch out for?

Why not? Visas are issued round the year and there is absolutely no problem with nightclubs and cafes and other entertainment spots.

The only thing is - you must get visa in Vilnius, for which you need an invitation from a Belarusian tour operator. Officially they do it in 48 hours, but the practice shows it can be in 5 minutes as well.

Well, you should watch out for observing rules of normal behaviour so as not to fall into the hands of the police.

Can I not apply for my visa whilst in UK? could whoever we get apartment/hotel with sort visa out? how much does it usually cost??

Dont worry we wont be having problems with Police ha ha not all English are the same.

Are many nightclubs open during the week in Minsk? as we will have to be back in Kaunas by Saturday.

You should be able to get your visa in the Belarusian embassy in London....I live in NYC and applied for it in the Belarussian Consulate in Manhattan...was ready in a week or so...I heard the nightlife/clubs are excellent....pretty safe city...it is, of course a police state...don%26#39;t talk politics and you will be alright
