Is it possible to pay for a train ticket by credit card??

Dear friends,

I would like to invite a friend from Minsk to visit me in Kiev on 29 June. Is it somehow possible for me to pay for her train ticket by credit card at distance, in a safe way?

Thanks a lot for any advice, it will be really appreciated!

i%26#39;m afraid it%26#39;s not possible. i know that online booking is possible in minsk.but anyway one must at the ticket office.

i paid for tickets to kiev with a card and even got a tiny discount. but i paid in minsk meaning i just gave my credit card to the cashier,signed a receipt and voila!

im surprised your friend cant buy a ticket herself,it costs just 23-25$...

send her webmoney if you trust her

she will cash it and buy a ticket

i see no other way

unfortunately Belarus railway is not yet that financially and technically advanced...

Webmoney is quite a burden. Better take her to some restaurant as a refund.
